Contents NoteThis is one of eleven small bound volumes of sermons, being vols. 2-4 and 6-13 of a series, hastily written in a uniform hand throughout. The author is conjectured to be Obadiah Wills. On the front page is written the following: "Hastily studdyed & [there]for[e] confusedly written this being only a repository for g[ene]rall heads pop[ular]: discourses etc yt they may not be lost as g[ene]rally they are when writt in loose papers." The list of sermons at the end indicates the texts on which sermons were preached, and the number of sermons on each text. According to this list (p. 280), there are two sermons on each text for a total of ten sermons in the volume. At the beginning of the volume are brief notes on two other texts (not listed on p. 280). After each of these, the author observes that the text was not fit for his purpose and so he did not develop his notes into a sermon.
Material FeaturesThe manuscript is more fragile than the others in the series. The boards have become separated from the leaves.
