Contents NoteA collection of preaching notes by Anthony Pitches preached between 1684 and 1719. The sermons were preached mainly in Wissington (spelled "Wiston"), Hawstead, Glemsford, Stanningfield, and other locations around Suffolk, as well as Great Horkesley (referred to as "Horksley") and Little Horkesley (referred to as "Horksley parva"), Essex.
Material FeaturesPaper, octavo. Corrections are made on the sermons. Some sermons have preaching information. A note in front of volume "From Rodd's Catalogue" declares that Anthony Pitches "was instituted to the Rectory of Hawested [Hawstead], Suffolk, in 1689, and was buried there 17th August, 1720", i.e., two days after his death.
