ShelfmarkMS.1972.005, vol. 4
Creation Dateca. 1677 - 1687
Contents NoteMS.1972.005 comprises a collection of seven volumes written by Aldrich Swan (1645-1714). The online catalogue states that these volumes (particularly vols. 3a-3c) were later used by his son, Aldrich (1673-1749). However, the present cataloguer believes that the manuscripts were more likely to have been used by his younger son Francis (1677-1740), owing to the locations in which many of the sermons were later preached, although Aldrich the younger may also have owned vol. 3a.
