Contents NoteThis manuscript comprises a neatly written contemporary copy in parchment cover of a farewell sermon by Robert Atkins preached on his expulsion in September 1660 from the chancel of Exeter cathedral (called East Peters) where he had ministered for some years to a Presbyterian congregation. The sermon is followed by ten couplets of verses ‘On this Farwell Sermon’, beginning ‘Thou maist have store of gold and yet be poore.’
