GEMMS IDGEMMS-MANUSCRIPT-000251
TitleTwenty-Six Sermons
ShelfmarkMS II.e.47
Creation Dateca. 1665 - 1665
Contents NoteThe volume has the date Nov. 27, 1665 on the first page. The volume is unpaginated and unfoliated. The twenty-six sermons are preached on a series of ten texts. The sermons on each text are indicated by a number in the margin, but the contents run together and are best considered as one entry for each text. A table of contents identifies the texts as well as the number of sermons preached on each.
Material FeaturesThe volume is bound in leather with blind tooling. The hand is clear enough, but the author of these notes uses short forms, abbreviations, and an idiosyncratic system of marginal "x" marks, usually at places where a specific scriptural text is cited. The author uses the first person throughout, suggesting that these are preacher's notes.
