ProvenanceA later owner of the manuscript was Dr. Thomas Raffles (1788-1863). This ms. is listed among his manuscripts as "A common place Book of the Reverend John Pointer, canon of Ch. Ch. Oxford, and one of the ejected ministers, who died in 1883 [1683 O.S.] aged 84" (HMC 6, 469).
