Contents NoteVolume contains sermons by Thomas Watson, Simeon Ashe, Edmund Calamy the elder, and Stephen Marshall. The volume begins with sermons preached in 1661 and ends with sermons preached in 1662, but sermons towards the middle of the volume were preached in 1641, 1647-48, and 1653, suggesting that the manuscript was written in 1661-62, making use of earlier notes or outlines as well as recording sermons heard more recently.
Material FeaturesThe sermons are all written in the same hand in a large notebook bound in vellum. "The Churches Cordiall in her fainting Fitts MS" is written on the spine.The same title is written on the front flyleaf along with the name Walter Boothby (possibly in a different hand than the rest of the ms.).
