Other NoteThe author identifies the Bible text as 2 Thessalonians 5:23, but this verse does not exist, and the verse quoted at the beginning of the sermon is 1 Thessalonians 5:23. In the dedication, someone has crossed out "John Gauden" and inserted "Thomas" in another hand. But the title also refers to the Bishop of Exeter, who in 1661-1662 was indeed John Gauden.
