ProvenanceThe manuscript's owner is identified as Mrs. Holland, who was Katherine Henry's granddaughter and Matthew Henry's niece. "This manuscript was given to Thomas Stedman by his dear old Friend, Mrs. Holland of [word unclear] in Shropshire, May 24.1777. She is a Grand-daughter of Mrs. Henry, for whom ye following Sermons were preached; she was worthy of so pious an ancestor."
AcquisitionThe sermon was a gift of Miss Rosina Daview, Ferry Side, July 14, 1938.
