GEMMS IDGEMMS-MANUSCRIPT-000620
TitleSermons by Various Preachers
ShelfmarkAdd MS 22180
Creation Date1578 - 1579
RepositoryBritish Library
Contents NoteThe volume consists of closely written auditors' notes on sermons by various preachers. The sermons were preached in 1578 and 1579. The sermons are written in a small hand without corrections or additions. There is fairly extensive marginal annotation. A list of the preachers with the original pages on which the sermons appeared precedes the text.
Material FeaturesSmall quarto. Fair copy with marginal annotations. Most of the volume is written in a black ink. After f. 187, pages have been cut out in two locations. The ink at ff. 187-200 is paler and the writing smaller and more cramped, but it appears to be the same hand as earlier in the volume. These sermons seem to be dated earlier, so this section of the volume may have been written earlier.
