The first page is headed "Thirteen Sermons preached by that faithfull and zealous publick servant of our lord and master Jesus Christ mr John Livingston minister at Ancrume in the year 1651, agust [sic] 31, ten years befor [sic] his banishment to Holland, where he departed this life." Despite the title, there are 14 sermons, preached between 7 July and 28 September, 1651, the final one preached at Ednam rather than Ancrum.
Material FeaturesPages bound with thread presumably from a larger volume. In somewhat fragile condition with some pages damaged at the edges. Neatly written fair copies of the sermons. There is no indication of the writer.
