TitleNotes of Sermons by Various Preachers Copied by Thomas Cox
ShelfmarkAdd MS 88944
Creation Date1709 - 1709
RepositoryBritish Library
Contents NoteContains auditor's notes on sermons by nonconformist preachers. It is not clear whether Thomas Cox took the notes himself or simply copied them. The name "Thomas Cox" is on the front and back flyleaves. On verso of the front flyleaf is a list of the sermon texts under the head "No 12" (possibly the number of the notebook). The only dated sermon was preached in 1709. The British Library manuscript catalogue suggests that the manuscript may be connected with the Baptist church in Alcester, Warwickshire, based on this information and on the names of some of the preachers.
