Contents NoteAlong with MS. Don. e. 163, this is one of two notebooks containing sermons by Hugh Morris. They were mostly preached at Bangor, Wales. There are some fragments that do not seem to be connected to any of the sermons (ff. 74v-75r, 164r-173v). Also includes doctrines related to the Lord's Supper (ff. 156r-179r) and a list of proof texts (ff. 159v-160r).
Material Features174 leaves. Bound in ruled calf. Morris uses a shorthand system and appears to explain it with charts indicating words, sentences, and Bible books each represented by one character.

AcquisitionThese two notebooks were part of lot 323, purchased by the Bodleian from Sotheby's on 18 December 1986, which also included 20 of Thomas Aldersey's notebooks and several in other hands.
