Other NoteLenthall was admitted to Christ's College Cambridge, 1629 and graduated BA 1632/3. He graduated MA in 1636 from Pembroke College and was a fellow there from 1636-42. He was ejected in 1642 and became Vicar of St Clement, Cambridge in 1639. He subsequently studied medicine and joined the Roman Catholic Church.
