Other NoteBowles was baptised on 8 February 1613, but his date of birth is unknown. He graduated from St. Catharine's College, Cambridge (BA 1633; MA 1636). He was preacher at York Cathedral 1646-1660 but was excluded at the Restoration. He preached briefly at Allhallows, York, and lectured at St. Peter's, York before his death. His exact death date is unknown, but he was buried on 22 August 1662.
