Granted D.D. in 1717. At unknown times he was vicar of Cherry Hinton, Cambridgeshire and rector of Grafton Flyford, Worcestershire. Vicar of Severn Stoke, Worcestershire in 1724. Rector of St Benet Gracechurch, London, 1728-1749. Prebendary of Canterbury from 1721 until his death in 1761. At some point he was perpetual curate of Christ Church, Southgate, London. Chaplain to King George I in 1716.
