Other NotePrecise date of birth unknown, but Langley matriculated at Pembroke College, Oxford in 1629 at age 18. B.A. (1632), M.A. (1635) from Pembroke, and thereafter fellow there. Lecturer at St Martin, Carfax, Oxford, 1640-c. 1641, and at Watlington, Oxfordshire, beginning in 1642. Rector of St Mary, Newington, Surrey, beginning in 1643. In 1646 Parliament granted Langley permission to preach at any church in Oxford. Master of Pembroke from 1647 until the Restoration. Canon of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford from 1648 until the Restoration. Created B.D. in 1648 and D.D. in 1649. Granted a license to preach in Tubney, Oxfordshire in 1672.
