Other NoteFrom Peeblesshire, Scotland. Graduated MA from Edinburgh University on 28 June 1690. He was ordained to Glenholm, Peeblesshire on 24 September 1696. Appointed to Prestonpans, Lothian on 28 April 1702. Horsburgh complained that the church was unsafe as it was built on coal waste; after a long litigation the church was repaired. Married Janet Somervaile and had two children: Janet (married 19 January 1735 to James Heriot) and Isobel (married 29 June 1730 to Charles Sherriff). Died 25 March 1724, aged approximately 54.
