Other NoteRichard Temple-Nugent-Brydges-Chandos-Grenville, First Duke of Buckingham and Chandos was born in London on 20 March 1776. He matriculated at Brasenose College, Oxford, in December 1791. He was elected MP for Buckinghamshire in 1797, and in 1800, he held the post of commissioner at the India board until 1801. He became Duke of Buckingham and Chandos in 1822. The Duke died on 17 January 1839 at Stowe.
