Other NoteBorn in Birstwith, West Riding of Yorkshire. Son of Marmaduke Procter, a husbandsman. He was admitted at the age of 17 to Pembroke College, Cambridge on 12 June 1658. Procter received a B.A. (1661/2) and M.A. (1665) from Pembroke. He was ordained as a deacon in 1665 and as a priest in 1667. He was perhaps rector of St Mary Bishophill, York from 1670 to 1689. He was vicar or York Holy Trinity King's Court at the time of his death in 1707.
