Other NoteMay be the "Remington" named in George Curwen Papers, Sermons 1700-1717, Vol. 2: MSS 45. Jonathan Remington was born in Cambridge to Captain Jonathan Remington (d. 1700) and Martha Belcher Remington (d. 1711). He graduated from Harvard in 1696, and was a resident tutor and fellow there from 1703-1711. He was then the Deputy to the General Court at Cambridge, MA; the Judge of Court of Common Pleas, 1715–33; Judge of Probate for Middlesex County, Massachusetts, 1725–45; Justice of Superior Court, 1733–45. He married Lucy Bradstreet (1680-1743), and had three daughters who survived to majority.
