Other NoteThomas Dackomb was born on 17 January 1495/6, the son of Thomas Dackomb of Stepleton, Dorset. In 1519, he was instituted to the rectory of St Peter Colebrook, Winchester. By March 1541/2, Dackomb had been appointed petty canon of Winchester Cathedral; by this time, he began collecting manuscripts and printed books. He returned to St Peter Colebrook shortly after. Dackomb died in c. 1572.
