Contents NoteMiscellany of verse and prose (authors include Francesco Petrarca and John Lydgate), written in seven different hands. There is also a sermon by John White, sheet music, prayers, medical recipes, and grammatical texts. Languages: Latin, Middle English, French, English. A member of William Waynflete's household may have been responsible for the initial compilation of this volume.

ProvenanceJohn Brinstan sold the manuscript to John Buriton, monk of St Swithun's, Winchester for 3s 4d (see f. ii). Thomas Dackomb (1496-c. 1572), petty canon of Winchester Cathedral, owned this manuscript in 1549 (see f. 1r). Other owners include William Wey, lay singing-man at Winchester Cathedral (fl. 1559) and Henry Bauy (fl. late sixteenth century).
AcquisitionBernard Quaritch Ltd. purchased this manuscript at Sotheby's, 19 June 1979. This manuscript was subsequently acquired by the British Library in the same year.
