Other NoteEliphalet Adams was born at Dedham, MA on 26 March 1677, the son of William Adams (1650-1685) and his wife Mary, who died when he was two years old. Adams attended Harvard College, graduating in 1694. He began preaching in the late 1690s. From 1701 to 1703, he served as an assistant to Benjamin Colman. On 9 February 1708/9, Eliphalet Adams was ordained in New London. He died on 4 October 1753, and was buried at New London.
