Other NoteSamuel Danforth was born in Roxbury, MA on 18 December 1666. He graduated from Harvard College in 1683. On 4 October 1688, Samuel Danforth married Hannah Allen (1668-1761), the daughter of James Allen (1632-1710), pastor of the First Church of Boston. In the same year, Danforth was ordained at Taunton, MA. He preached frequently in that city until his death on 14 November 1727. His will was dated 5 May 1725, and was proved on 21 November 1727.
