Other NoteThe exact birth date of John Russell is unknown. Born c. 1627, he was the son of John Russell, glazier. John Russell the younger emigrated to Massachusetts and graduated from Harvard College. Russell served as minister of Wethersfield, CT. He is remembered for having sheltered the regicides Edward Whalley and William Goffe during the 1660s. John Russell died on 10 December 1692.
