Other NoteJohn Chaloner, son of John Chaloner, minister, was born c.1658 in Newport, Shropshire. He matriculated as sizar at Trinity College Dublin in 1675, was made Scholar in 1676. He graduated B.A. in 1679 and proceeded M.A. in 1682. He was rector of Errigal and Desertoghill, Derry from 1692 and had a faculty to hold them both in 1698. He had at least one son, Rev. Richard Chaloner. John Chaloner died c.1733.
