Other NoteThe son of Richard Morrice of Llanver, John Morrice matriculated from St Mary Hall, Oxford in 1705 and graduated B.A. from Lincoln College, Oxford in 1708/9; he proceeded M.A. from Magdalene College, Cambridge in 1714 and D.D. in 1728. He was rector of Thorpe-by-Newark from 1713 and served as chaplain to the Prince of Wales. He died 21 Dec. 1740.
