Other NoteJonathan Kimberly, son of William Kimberly, matriculated from Pembroke College, Oxford in 1667; he graduated B.A. in 1671, proceeded M.A. in 1673/4 (incorporated at Cambridge in 1676) and D.D. in 1713. He was ordained priest in 1678 and may have been a college fellow during this year. He served as minister of Stadhampton and chaplain to Charles II. He was vicar of Trinity Church, Conventry from 1681-1713 and was appointed to the canonry of Lichfield in 1684 and of Westminster in 1711. He was made rector of Bagginton in 1699, vicar of Leamington Hastings in 1712, dean of Lichfield in 1713, and rector of Tatenhill in 1718. He had three sons: Samuel, Thomas, and Charles. Kimberly died on 7 March 1719/20.
