DescriptionThe second notebook of the collection contains this sermon. It begins as follows: ‘Among ye several weighty Precepts, delivered by St. Paul, in this chapter, this is a very remarkable one’. The general occasion is specified as ‘Trinity Sunday’. It is conjectured by the Suffolk Record Office that Balthazar Gardemau was the author of this sermon. The sermon was also preached in 1767, 1768, 1770, 1773, 1774, and 1775. It is not known who continued to preach this sermon, as Gardemau died in 1739.
