To reflect both possibilities, the “Date Start” gives the 5th month according to the New Style (May), and the “Date End” gives the 5th month according to the Old Style (July). Sermon may have been preached in Ireland or in England.

However, they are not in his hand and in some cases predate his ordination as deacon in 1677, casting doubt on this attribution. Judging by the marginal comment in sermon 4 ("which sermon I did not hear"), this series of sermons on 1 Samuel 7:2 are not autographs.
