DescriptionA letter dated 21 May 1665 (Durham Castle). An extract reads as follows: 'You must know yt on friday last I preached ye visitation sermon at St Oswalds Church. And this morning my Ld told me he had a mind to have the sermon printed, & bad me bring it to him. I said little, & perhaps his mind may alter. […] My Ld said […] yt if the sermon was printed it should not be sold, but he would give […] Copyes to the ministers of his Diocese, & hoped they might do good amongst many.'
