DescriptionA list of preachers delivering sermons before the King over Lent, written in the first few pages of an interleaved almanac from 1673. May be referring to Lent in 1674, but this is difficult to ascertain. The first sermon recorded is on Ash Wednesday, which falls on the 12th February and the last sermon recorded is on the 20th April. Written in a very clear round hand. The first page lists the preacher's livings and the date they delivered the sermon on and the next three pages gives details of some of their names and the texts they delivered, sometimes writing out the verse in full. Preachers include the Dean of St Pauls, the Bishop of Sarum, Bishop of Chichester, the Dean of Canterbury, Bishop of Oxford, the Archbishop of York, the Dean of Westminster, and the Lord Almoner.
