DescriptionPaper covered notebook titled "Mary Evelyn her Booke of sermon notes 1679." Evelyn is the daughter of John Evelyn. Her initials and a pentacle appear below the title. Despite the title, the notes continue to 1683. Notebook contains notes on sermons ranging from several pages in length to brief mentions. Preachers include Mr. Holding, Mr. Higham, Mr. Smith, Mr. Alsop, and the Bishop of Rochester (likely John Dolben who held this position until 1683). Locations include Whitehall and the Savoy.
