Contents NoteA set of manuscripts written by or about Mary Evelyn, the eldest daughter of John Evelyn. One item in the set is a notebook entitled "Mary Evelyn Her Booke of sermon notes 1679", with more notes added up to 1683. Most of the notes are merely records of the text and preacher, but a few also include brief notes on the sermon.
Material FeaturesMary's notebook has a paper covering. Under the title she has written her initials and drawn a pentacle.
ProvenanceAfter Mary's death, her father was in possession of these manuscripts. The sermon notebook formerly had the shelf mark Evelyn MS 108.
