DescriptionThe full title of this sermon is as follows: 'The notes of the first parte of a sermon preached by Mr Goodman in St Peters Church at Exon the first of Septemb[er] beinge Sonday Anno. 1583. vpon this texte of Scripture written in the 3. chapter of St Pauls epistle to the Phillipians beginning thus'. This sermon will be of interest to scholars researching godly opposition to the Elizabethan Settlement. These leaves also contain 'M:r Nicolls his Inuectiue against [this sermon]'.
