Other NoteWritten in a neat, cursive round hand. There are some minor additions and deletions in a later hand, most likely by Francis Swan (1677-1740), the son of Aldrich. Strikethroughs have been applied to passages which were not applicable for Francis; for example, the following words have been excised on p. 67, as its inclusion would have been inappropriate and confusing for his own congregation: '...(as I have once formerly shewed you in my exposition of ye 5th petition in ye Lords prayer)...'. It is not known whether this sermon was preached on the sacrament day in all of the years indicated.
