Contents NoteThis volume contains seven sermons by Dr. Samuel Bolton, likely to have been preached in the early 1650s. Six of the sermons are in English and are written in mixed hand. On pp. 114-181, there are theological notes in Latin (with some Greek) in an italic hand, with later additions and deletions. Note that p. 120 and the bottom of p. 181 contain notes relating to the sermon on Romans 5:11.
Material FeaturesQuarto. Gold-tooled binding. The gold lettering on the spine reads as follows: 'MSS. SERMONS DR BOLTON'. The St. Paul's Cathedral Library bookplate can be found on the flyleaf (verso) and the inside back cover of the volume.
