TitleSermons by Anthony Dopping, bishop of Meath
ShelfmarkTCD MS 1688/3
Creation Date1670 - 1673
Contents NoteA collection of sermons by Anthony Dopping, Sr, dated 1670-1673. These appear to be fair copies. Also includes an index of the Bible texts at the end. According to the cataloguer, they were preached in the Trinity College Dublin chapel, but other preaching locations are also noted in the text. Several of the sermons have an additional preaching dated in the late 1750s, which must have been preached by someone other than Dopping, who died in 1697.
Material FeaturesPaper. The sermons have dotted margins on the top and the gutter, where preaching information is recorded. This volume is not in as good shape as TCD MS 1688/1 and 2. This is the earliest volume in the collection, and is significantly messier than the others. These sermons appear to have been reused frequently.
