DescriptionThis sermon is written in a neat italic hand. There is some use of Greek. In addition, there are many citations of patristic sources. As Robert Skinner (1591-1670), bishop of Worcester, was not created D.D. until 1636, it is presumed that 'Dr Skynner' is Dr William Skynner of Hereford (c. 1593-1647).
Source of DataGuide to British Historical Manuscripts in the Huntington Library (San Marino, CA: The Huntington Library, 1982), p. 49; Hannah Yip.
Other NoteAt the top of p. 1, 'Acts 29th: 9:10' has been written; however, the biblical text is in fact Acts 26:9-10. This sermon has been dated according to the next sermon in the volume, which is dated '1631'.
