Contents NoteThe full title of this autograph manuscript is as follows: 'The Pilgrims Staffe: Or Mans frailtie supported by gods gracious clemency in passing by, & bearing wth the the [sic] infirmities of his children. A Sermon preached in the Chappell at Ashridge to the right Hon:ble the Earle & Countesse of Bridgwater, by R. H. their most humble Seruant.' There is a separate title page, in addition to a dedicatory epistle addressed 'To the Trvly Noble, Virtvous and Religious Lady The Countesse of Bridgwater', signed by the author.
