Contents NoteThe full title of this autograph manuscript is as follows: 'Mans Perdition & Salvation wth their seuerall causes Displayed and opened In two sermons preach't before the Right Hon: John Earle of Bridgwater in his Chappell at Ashridge. By Robert Hitchcock Bachel:r of Diuinity, and one of his Lordships Chaplaines.' There is a separate title page, in addition to an undated dedicatory epistle 'To the Right Honorable John Earle of Bridgwater my very good Lord', signed by the author of the two sermons. The manuscript has been dated by the present cataloguer according to Hitchcock's time as chaplain to the Second Earl of Bridgewater, up to Hitchcock's death in 1673.
